I have a problem with my camara that it doesn't allow me to take pictures, but I don’t understand what it is. I’m new to this, so please any help lmk! Thanks!

Your focus point ( the large square with the five little ones around it) needs to be set so it is one a subject. Move it down to the center of the LCD and arrange your camera so you have something to photograph in the LCD.

As John indicated, your camera needs something to focus on.
On the photo you provided, do you see the two little icons up in the top right-hand corner? Tap the second one from the right. That will return your focus box to the center of your screen. Point that box at something that has a nice contrast between light and dark and try to take a picture. In the picture you provided, it looks like your camera is pointed at a blank wall and cameras have a hard time focusing in that kind of scenario.
One way to test this is to put your camera in Auto Mode, or P Mode and go outside on a nice bright sunny day and try to take a picture. Did it work?
What kind of 8 do you have? An R8?
