I have an EOS Rebel. When I play back the picture and use the magnify button how can I keep the enlarged image?

Download the image from the camera and use a photo editor to finish it however you want.

Hello, Gregg!
The magnify feature is only a viewing aid and the zoomed in portion can not be saved.
Which Rebel do you have? Some newer Rebels have "in camera" editing, such as cropping. This would allow you to crop and save to a new file.
If your Rebel lacks this feature, Waddizzle's suggestion is your only option.

Greggschmidt,
As the others have explained, the magnify feature is just a viewing aid. You can crop it in camera as Newton suggested. You can also download your picture to your computer and use an editor like the free program Irfanview to resize it.
