Recently received this error after returning from vacation with my 2.5 yr old 7D in great condition. Camera has always been protected from elements. Not sure what to do.
Thank you,
Scott

My 3+ year old 7d recently gave me that same error. You need to send it to the service center for repair. It cost me $230. It's the only problem I've had with it.
good luck!

This error has been reported quite often by 7D users. Solutions ranging from the error just went away on its own to having to send it in for repairs. One solution that met a certain amount of success is the cleaning of the battery contacts of both the batteries and the camera contacts with rubbing alcohol. Cleaning contacts is fairly easy and it's worth a try.
