If you followed the steps above, it gives you the password during the camera Wi-Fi creation process. You'll need to remember that number to use whenever you try to connect to the camera.
if you forget the password, start over and do the steps again.
I haven't used the new version of the app in a while. But this end of this Canon software is obviously still the same. 👍🏼

Thank you! It ended up being the encryption number. Also, I realized I was not giving it enough time to connect. I immediately got the message "connected, no internet" every time I tried. I finally gave it about 30-60 seconds and it connected.
Thank you!!

I have a canon eos 2000d and I have figured this out. We didn’t actually set a password for our cameras. Canon give you a one-time 8 digit number to put into the ‘password’ location on wifi.
You can find this number if you go to wifi function > connect to smartphone > review/change settings > change set > now make sure it is ‘easy connection’ you have selected, then select ‘OK’ and it will give you the SSID (the name of your camera) and the encryption key (the one time password). Keep this screen open on your camera while you type it into your phone and it should connect.
I hope this helps!

Greetings,
This should help. No connection to a computer is required.

Re: passwords; I have a notebook with about eight pages of passwords for various stores, auctions and websites, both past and present. They are written in a code that only I can read. I don't trust my memory, especially at my age.
