I doubt it. It is highly unlikely without a large outcry from the public. Even so, that assumes the hardware is capable of doing it.

The EOS 90D is not able to AF in 120fps "High Frame Rate" mode. A firmware update to allow 120fps AF is probably not possible due to a lack of processing power from the 90D's single Digic 8 processor. Even if it were possible, Canon probably would not enable it so that they could sell more of their higher end cameras. (The 1Dx Mk II can do it but it has dual Digic 6+ processors) (The new 1Dx Mk II will probably have Dual Digic 9 processors)
