Hi guys, just got a t4i and there are a few things I'm trying to figure out
1) Is it possible to turn the flash off in each mode without being in the no flash mode?
2) Can I change the aspect ratio from 16:9, to 4:3, etc on all modes?
Will add a few more as they come.

????Are you asking about turning it off in 'Auto"?

These are video ratios. They are not available in DSLR and that is what a T4i is. It is a DSLR that does video not a camcorder or video camera that take stills. You can easily change the ratio in post.

Not only auto but the other modes as well. I noticd if I pressed the quick menu button above the WB, it sometimes gives me the option to disable the flash, for example on the CA mode, but on others mode like the one below it with the icon of a person which I am assuming to be portrait, there is no option to disable it.

CA = Creative Auto and that is exactly it's purpose. It let's you change certain things to your preference instead of Canon's.
Portrait mode is not customizable by you. Otherwise, it would not be Portrait mode any longer, if you changed something! Right?
