EOS Rebel T7 trouble with syncing to Google Pixel 6 phone

I want to sync my camera w/my phone. The app keeps saying I need to register, and I need a nickname for it, which I did these two things online. On the app, it told me I needed to do it- doesn't give me a place to do so. I can't get past that page on the app. Does anyone have any advise? Thank you, Sharon

• What app are you using on the phone?
• What specific camera are you trying to connect?

Thank you. Next time I will be sure to add more information. I received an email from Canon, which I wasn't expecting to happen before Monday so I am going to try their instructions but may be back. ha. Thank you again.  (It's a Rebel T7 and a google pixel 6 phone)
