EOS Rebel T7 Today's photos vanished from SD card, yesterday's photos OK

I took like 20+ photos in the span of an hour or more. When I went to look at them later that day, they were not there. I checked the SD card and it was not locked. I had photos on there from the day before that showed up. I put the SD Card into my computer. I checked for hidden files and downloaded recovery software. Still no photos. SD Card is not bad. It's brand new and saving new photos. It was not full only 1 photo from thr day prior was on otm What could have happened? I have a Canon Rebel T7 camera and ImageMate Pro SanDisk SD Card.

Thanks Demetrius, I was unaware of that and will store the information away for the future. Just an FYI, the Canon knowledge base still has them listed as compatible.

Even though the manual states that they’re “compatible” they’re not. This problem affects Rebel series such as the T7 and other cameras without the “I” in the name. You can find pages of this incompatibility in the forum. So I advise against using those cards. Waddizzle (Bill) has first hand experience with this problem.

Demetrius, I  believed you were accurate when you posted and did a search after I read your post. There are many references as you noted as well as not using the 128mg cards.

Just thought it would be worthwhile to let everyone know that there was a conflict in the Canon knowledge base in case it comes up in the future.
