EOS Rebel T6i Unable to Do Factory Reset

annielaugen
Contributor

I’ve recently recieved a Canon Rebel t6i. I bought it off of someone. I’m trying to do a factory reset but I only see 7 menu logos (2 camera logos, 2 video logos and 3 wrenches.) I cant seem to find the option anywhere.

Hello annielaugen the mode dial on the top of the camera must be in M, Av, TV or P Modes (Creative Zone). It cannot be in the (Basic Zone) A+ (Full Auto) or any of the Fully Automated Modes.

thank you so much!!!

actually another question, when i go to connect my camera to my phone i can’t see the “camera access point mode” option

Make sure the camera Wi-Fi is enabled. I would also download an electronic copy of the manual too. If you don't already have a hard copy. Canon provides an electronic copy of the manual for all of their cameras and lenses free of charge.
