EOS Rebel T6 How to find my camera's missing serial number

kmarcum

Hello! Is there anyone that could help me locate a serial number for my camera. I have had it since 2017 and the serial number has rubbed off. I do not have the original box anymore and the camera image information is missing the serial number. The camera was also a gift for my wedding so I dont have the original invoice.

I am at a loss, I would love to use DPP to view my photos but I cant access it because I cant find my serial number.

Pls give direction if you have any advice. I have just now begun to use my camera more and would benefit from some help! thank you!.

Kmarcum,

I'm not home right now but I can host a download for you later today if needed.

Hey Rick, I was able to get the serial number and hosted a link in the event the serial # wasn't recognized. OP I believe (hopefully) is installing the software. I'm taking a lack of response from the OP as a good sign on this one....

Marc,

Thanks for sharing this info about finding the serial number on my camera. I didn't know that existed.

I've learned over the years that when I buy an appliance, whether it's a camera or a vacuum cleaner, the first thing I do is write down the serial number and store that in 5 or 6 places😀

Yep, pretty much everything thing is in the file but the shutter count. The other nice thing is you can copy the data. It seems like it will only let you do a line at a time but if you hold shift and use the arrows it works.
