Hello, I've had a Canon EOS Rebel T5 Digital Camera for several years and it has given me great results.  However, I'm interested in upgrading my camera.  Any suggestions on what I may purchase for a next level of Camera?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thank you!

Greetings,

Tell us more about the type of photography you do most.  Do you have a stable of lenses?  If so, which?  Do you want to try and take any of them forward with you?

What is your budget?  We can make recommendations based on your answers above.

Rick has asked a number of good questions.

I would also like to know what it is about the T5 makes you want to upgrade?  Are there any camera features or performance qualities that you find lacking in the T5?

Thank you for responding!  I have no issues with my T5. I let a friend borrow the camera, and they accidentally damaged the internal lens of the camera.  I thought I would be able to buy another one (body) only, and I've been having a hard time finding it.  Thank you again.

Good question. As you have noted in the past, I have a T7. So far, so good. The newer cameras are out of my budget...unless I can talk my wife into going back to work.

Thank you for responding so quickly.  With my Canon Rebel T5 camera, I currently utilize two main lens: Canon EF 100m f/.8L IS USM Macro Lens and a Canon EF-s 55-250 F4-5.6 IS STM.  I love taking nature photography so those are my two most used lenses.  With regards to my budget - $500-$1,500.  Thank you again for your assistance.

Simple answer is anything with R in it name. All of them will be an upgrade.

EOS 1DX and 1D Mk IV and less lenses then before!

I agree with Ernie.  Any one of these three bodies with Canon EF-RF mount adapter.  I’d also recommend the RF 50mm f/1.8 STM.  It is a good idea to have at least one RF mount lens in your camera bag.

I’d go with the R50 or R10 because they offer the best balance between features and price.  The R100 is somewhat limited when it comes to camera features.  It is the camera body that is most similar to your T5, however, so I included it.
