Your camera uses the white camera icon. To the right of the viewfinder. Cameras around that used the start stop button. I assumed yours was the same. I included pictures of the manual to show to turn live view on or off.

What model is your camera first of all. Is the camera in movie mode or photo mode. If it's in photo mode press the start/ stop button. Make sure the white line on the switch is set to photo mode not movie mode.

Press the white camera button next to the viewfinder. To see if it switches back to the viewfinder.
