I have had my camera for 2 years and have had no problems. Now it won't focus properly when using the LCD screen. It also says it is busy when I try to take a picture. Help!! It will take pictures when I use the viewfinder.

Hi,
I need some help with my T6 Camera. It was working fine and suddenly it stopped taking pictures while camera was in operation. I mean I was able to take pictures and it stopped working. When I click the shutter button, it beeps and nothing happens. The LCD screen goes black as long as I press the shutter button. I tried with two lenses I have and it is the same problem, not able to take pictures. The video recording is working fine. I tried different modes like AF, P and M etc.
Also I switched AF to MF on the lense. I am not sure what happened to my camera. Could you please guide me to fix the problem?
Thanks in advance,
Martin

What lens?
Do you have it set for a delayed shutter?
Try to reset the settings.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I tried with kit lens ( 18-55mm ) and the other one 75-300mm. Tried reset as well.
The interesting thing is I installed camara connect app and able to take pictures from the phone using the WiFI remote option.
Does this mean, the shutter button gone bad? Like I mentioned earlier, I can press it and it beeps and no picture taken.
Please adivse.
Thanks,
Martin

Hi Martin,
Based on what you mentioned, it does seem like something might be going on with the shutter button itself, but there are a few more things to try:
If problems persist, you might want to send the camera to us for service. The repair options will vary depending on your location and are subject to change, so I would suggest that you email to get the latest repair details for your area:
