I just bought a EOS REBEL XS from a friend and I really love the camera but... I like see through the display while take the picture and not using the eye piece. I have tried and tried eveything to refigure but I can't seem to see what I"m doing wrong to reset it to display. Can anyone help me here. Oh the manual to it was not in box..

You can use this article at Canon Australia to help. Follow the instructions to get into the menu, but instead of changing Live view mode to "Enable" you'll switch it back to "Disable".

Normally you can always download the manual from Canon's online website, but for some reason when I pull up the XS, the documentation is missing.

Live View shooting is not enable on the Rebel XS by default. You have to enable it in the menu setting and then press the SET to turn it on or off.
