EOS REBEL T6i lens that won’t fit

Carrtaylor

Hello my name is Taylor Carr. I own a canon EOS Rebel T6i. I have a SIGMA DM 70-300 mm 1:4-5.6 lens that won’t fit on my camera. I am wanting to use the lens on the camera. What attachment or adapter do I need in order for the lens to work properly on the camera?

Thank you. #canonrebelt6i

There is no adapter and it wouldn't be worth it to adapt to your camera. Also nothing will be automatic control from the camera. The lens will be completely manual and there would probably be no way to control the aperture without an aperture ring. You can contact Sigma to see if they can do a mount conversion for the lens in question. But if its too old they more than likely can't do it. Take a picture of the back of the lens (the side that would mount to the camera) so we could possibly identify which mount that it belongs to. 3rd Party manufacturers make lenses in many different lens mounts such as Canon EF & RF Mounts, Nikon F & Z Mounts, Pentax K/PK Mount, Minolta/ Sony A Mount, Sony E Mount, Panasonic/ Leica L Mount, Panasonic/ Olympus (now OM System) 4/3rds Mount & M 4/3rds Mount, Sigma SA Mount. You must specify what mount you need for your camera with a 3rd Party lens.
