I'm doing deep-dive research into an R8 mirrorless camera. Long time owner of an original EOS10D dslr and want to stay in the Canon family. As someone who has been involved in electronics for decades I'm more than aware of the possibility of damage to electronics from electrostatic discharge. A lot of times one doesn't feel the zap. I'm thinking could the touch screen be damaged by such a discharge? A lot of times, especially in winter and when it's dry I get static zaps when getting out of my vehicle. Sometimes just walking across the carpet at home. This is not being academic but I really need assurance the screen or even the internal electronics could be damaged.
Thanks for any help.
