EOS R7 " EFC not working with continuous mode"

Hello

I am unable to make continuous shooting work with electronic first curtain shutter. It only works with electronic shutter. So when the camera is set to EFC, I can only take single shots, not continuous. The issue is the same on any program setting - TV, AV, and so on. So I am guessing some other setting is interfering? Since I am on a trip shooting birds in flight, I need to get the EFC to work with continuous shooting. What might I have set in the wrong way?

Thanks, Hans

This seems unusual as the camera can shoot at up to 15fps with high speed continuous drive when using electronic first curtain shutter if the shutter speed is fast enough.

Expand the caution note at the bottom of this manual section to see if one of the other factors is limiting your camera.

Hello Brian

Thanks for the link. I have set the mode to high speed continuous, yet in EFC and mechanical it only takes one single shot. only in Electronic, it shoots in high speed continuous.

It was working earlier, but after making some adjustment to a custom setting in C1 (I think) it stopped working. So I wonder if some setting might override high speed continuous with EFC and mechanical?

I couldn't find any solution looking through the link you sent. What might I be doing wrong?

Thanks! Hans

If you are using a custom mode C1, did you save the change to the settings or not?

Simple test.

Turn the mode dial to M mode, set the drive to high-speed + and set electronic first curtain for the shutter mode.

Turn the mode dial to C1 mode, check the settings for high-speed drive + and electronic first curtain shutter mode.

If the drive and shutter mode are incorrect, and you need to change them, then activate the setting to allow the custom mode settings to be updated. Then change shutter mode and drive mode, then if you want you can disable the auto update of stored settings.

Hello Brian

I did save the changes in C1. Moreover, it's the same issue no matter which program I choose - Tv and so on. Only Electronic shutter will run in continuous mode, not EFC or Mechanical Shutter. Could there by any other setting I could work with?

Thanks! Hans
