EOS R6 Mark II freezing frequently

I am a club and event photographer who works 6 nights a week. I have a canon R6 and I kept having freezing issues, where the camara becomes none responsive and i have to take the battery out before it works again. This occurs every night. Depending on the club, up to 8 times an event within a 1hr time frame. I sent the camera to be repaired under warranty and while it was gone I bought the 6d mk ii. Withing the first 25 mins of using it , it began to freeze up as well. unlike the r6 which had an error code , this just has a dark grey screen and yet again i have to remove battery to reset. I use all canon original gear. Is anyone else having same problem?

If this persists I will have to return the camera for a refund.

Update. i also got my 6d back and withing first day it started freezing again but this time not showing an error code.

Since when have you had this problem with the cameras? I've considered changing brands because of this issue. Thank you for the input regarding the cards, as I was considering buying V90 cards (but the investment is still significant). My colleagues use V30 and have no problems. I think I'll have to demand a new machine (but I don't even know if that will be the solution). In the forums I've been reading, they also mentioned the possibility of a shutter problem.... Please keep me informed of this situation. Thanks

so both my cameras don't seem to work with SanDisk v30. I use both v60 and 2 v90s . I also noticed if u put 2 different speeds and brands it slows the camera down. I have had both my r6 mkii for a while now. The second one I replaced after 5 months because the thumb stick fell off. That also froze. In total I have had 1 r6, 3 r6 mkii, borrowed 1 r5 and I also have an r5 mii. All of them freeze without fail. Not as often in the 5mkii, which never had an error code, it seemed to freeze, gather itself and then work again. My r6mii have all been sent back looked at I was told one was software issue. All came back with same problem. The freezing issue always happens within the first week. I shoot 5-6 times a week. I personally think the processors are not robust enough, all the info is overloading it. Sadly I don't understand how the processors work/built so 8 don't know if its a memory thing or just bad architecture.

I also never  had an error code, it freezes for second and then work again. It happens randomly, but it always happens when I take photos. This situation is very frustrating. My second attempt would be to use V90 cards to see if the problem disappears, but I've already read testimonials from people who continue to have the same problem. The V30 cards I'm using are the same brand and speed.

Had new type of freezing today i was testing a new lens on video and when im magnifying  to see if subject is in focus and if i press af-on button or rec while im on magnify the camera says err 70 reinstall battery and the camera freezes bro i cant anymore with this camera

Yeah it is definitely a software compatibility issue, everything is electronically tagged now, from batteries to lens if the software is not compatible or is conflicting it seems like error  70 just occurs. If u look at Sony's new camera all.of a sudden 3rd party lens don't work. what's worse for canon is ppl are having issues with first party products. I am too far gone in the canon eco system , and the lens selection is too good, I am gonna upgrade to the r6iii once I have enough funds. I will update on if this also has an issue. if it doesn't. then I will be getting rid of all my other r6 cameras

i primarily shoot video so because i love rf glass im making the move to c50! Hope that cinema line less prone to that **bleep**

Tbf most people i know who had major issue were taking pictures. Yours is the most extreme for camera use. i defo would say v90 for video flexibility

Search the Facebook group "Canon R6 Mark II Users" and you will find more people with this problem.

Thanks for that info. I joined the group and will be gathering info from there.
