Using an EOS R6. I have always had this feature set to beep audibly upon achieving focus, and the feature worked correctly until recently when it began failing to beep upon focus, even after I've repeatedly verified the "enable beep" setting in the menu. I have the latest 1.9.0 firmware installed, and there have been no changes in lenses used with the camera. I can find no reference to this in the troubleshooting section of the R6 manual. I'm stumped...can anyone help?

Are you using SERVO AF or ONE SHOT AF?
If you use servo AF there is no audible beep since the camera is constantly tracking. You will see blue coloured AF frames while focusing with servo AF, and green coloured AF frames after focus locks when using one shot AF.

Thanks, somewhere I had switched to SERVE AF without being aware of it.

Thanks Brian...as you suspected, I was using SERVE AF and not being aware of it.

What shooting mode are you using on the top dial? You can test the Beep by turning the dial to Auto [A+].
