EOS R50 - screen glitching and not turning on

DomIsAGamer

Hello everybody. My camera has been bugging recently. My EOS R50 screen's sometimes glitches the color green then not turning on for a few hours. However, after waiting for a while it just magically turns back on. I sometimes can fix it by removing the lens, the sd card, or the battery but not always. It has always been bugging me and is annoying. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have provided a picture below of how it exactly looks like (but a different camera, ctto)

Greetings,

Please tell us about the accessories you are using with the camera.

Are you using any third-party lenses?

Any lens adapters?

Any flashes?

Non-Canon brand batteries?

What is the brand and model of memory card or cards you are using?  Have you tested with more than one and do you get the same behavior.  Only full size cards should be used with the camera not microSD with adapter.  Are you formatting the cards in camera before use.

Depending on your answers, we may have other questions.

Worst case scenario is a sensor malfunction.  That's sort of what this looks like, but it's too early to say without answers to the above questions.  How old is the camera?

DomisAGamer,

You might try a Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 lens. It's a native Canon lens without the need for an adapter, and only costs $125 at Adorama right now.
