EOS R5 Mark II can't find Wi-Fi networks other than 2.4 GHz

I've just upgraded from the 5D mark4 and I my camera cannot find any wifi networks other than 2.4g

I have the Asus mesh with the main router being a BE98. So I have wifi 6 and 7. I've tried creating a separate network with 5g and 6g but it still does not see it.

What am I doing wrong?

Your camera is compatible with 2.4 GHz, 5.0 GHz, and 6 GHz Wi-Fi:

From the product page on our site:

Also in the spec sheet, it says it supports the below frequencies and bands:

For 6 GHz, it specifies that the Authentication must be WPA3:

Thanks my settings are correct. Even if i try and manually add the wifi name it does not work. I will try with the wifi router my network gave me and see if it picks that up.

Do you happen to have it set to not broadcast your SSID? Some routers do that by default—for security.

No it's broadcasting

It also doesn't pick up my isp wifi.

Only 2.4ghz

6GHz is infrastructure only and camera AP is not supported.

Wi-Fi use may be restricted in certain countries or regions

Does this mean the camera will not connect to 5g and 6g

I use a file server over wifi n 2.4g is too slow.

On my 5d mark4 I had a network cable to a portable router

R5 m2 does not have a network port and do not want the battery pack

Hello Deeps1,

Are you able to establish a connection using the [Camera Access Point] method where the camera provides the "network"? I have attached a link to the guide for testing that HERE for reference.

Thank you for confirming

Camera will connect to 2.4g only

Camera wifi broadcast works much faster.

The issue is it is uploading to a ftp server and the location only has wifi 6 and 7
