I have an EOS R5 Mark II. Recently read a Canon document "Getting the Best Image Quality in Sports Photography" by Jeff Swinger. The EOS cameras handle in-camera sharpening within the Picture Style settings. Does anybody know if Canon USA Technical Marketing Consultant, Rudy Winston, or any other person has ever created detailed information about Picture Style for what, how and why a photographer should use as defaults or should create custom user settings for Strength, Fineness, Threshold, Sharpness and Contrast for particular types of photography? As an example, I am interested in Sharpness as it relates to images captured in low light conditions and images using high ISO. Would there be an advantage to create Picture Style specific settings for those conditions, as compared to using software editing applications such as Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop, to get the best images?
