I am looking to add an external mic for video with the R10 & have not been able to find if the mic jack delivers power to a mic without internal power source. Does anyone know? I was looking at a Rode Videomicro ii mic to try.
Thank you for any accurate insights.

I have the EOS R10, but don't have the Rode videomicro II. Howver I do know for sure that when I use a Rode Smartlav mic, which is also unpowered, that it works fine with the EOS R10.

Thank you for the information, Brian. It is good to know that the plug obviously receives power. Appreciate the help.
