In the R1 Advanced Users Guide PDF for version 1.2.0 of the firmware, this is on page 157. It is also at this link if you scroll down a little.
Can someone point me to the page in the PDF or a web page that tells me what "AF-ON 3 thru AF-ON 7" is?
It isn't "Register/recall AF-related settings" in the AF[7] menu because there are only 6 slots.

Ahh!!! I figured it out. "Customized controls when shooting" (green menu 1) => Customize buttons for shooting (top menu item) => AF-ON button. It has 7 slots or settings that you can quickly switch between each has various limitations.
