I have used this camera for several shoots and been really happy with it. recently, the camera started freezing/crashing and the lcd/eye view both turn a pink/green color like this
This guy from the video ended up sending his in and a board the camera had fried. I've tried the customer support route, removed the card/lense, factory reset it, tried a different battery and ensured it's on the current firmware, but this still happens EVERY time I turn it on within about 10-30 seconds. I've only had the camera for about 2 years, just long enough to fall out of warranty. (Yay)
Anyone have any recommendations before I have to shell out the +400 for canon to check it out?

I would get an estimate to have it repaired. It sounds like a hardware issue.
