EOS M50 Mark II Shaky Videos & Trouble Transferring Videos to Canon Camera Connect

Hi All,

I am hoping someone can help me here. I have 2 main issues currently.

1) I am using the kit lens with IS on and all seems ok after recording, but once I transfer to my phone (S22) the videos are very shaky. Does anyone know if the quality is affected when transferring to a phone?

2) I can't seem to transfer videos through Canon Camera Connect so I have been using a lead. Now it only says "unable to move item". Does anyone know why this error would occur when transferring videos to smart phone using the lead? There is enough space on the phone.

I appreciate any answers.

For #1, How do the videos look on a computer?

For #2, is Wi-Fi enabled in the camera? That would cause the USB cable not to work.

Hi 5DIV,

Thanks for your reply. My laptop is old and I need an updated one so I have only been putting them on my phone so I can add to social media. It just seems very juddery considering there is built in IS. After further reading I'm thinking a gimbal is the only way to solve this.

The wifi has always been enabled. The lead transfer seems to be hit and miss. It may transfer 2 and then say 'could not move', or transfer none at all.

I rarely transfer video (or even photos) directly to my phone (iPhone 14), but I did just happen to transfer one this evening, via WiFi, and it appears on my phone identical to the original.
