EOS 70D Time format

i set the date and time on my 70D but i absolutley cannot find a way to set the clock to a 12 hour clock instead of a 24 hour clock , how can i do this , thank you Bill

You probably can't. The camera and file system would be confused. They can't see the sun.

Ok , my rebel you could change so I figured I could on this

Oh. My Rebel T4i uses 24 hour system.

I just looked it up in the user manuals of the three camera models I use (50D, 7D, 5D3). It appears that all three use the 24-hour system exclusively. Canon must have standardized on that system in order to avoid possible confusion, an idea that I guess I endorse.

 

What I don't endorse is the wretched quality of the indexes in Canon's user manuals. Would you believe that the word "time" doesn't appear in the index of any of those three manuals?!
