I've read through the posts and noticed this dicussion but nothing that answers my issue.
I am attempting to connect my iPhone to my Canon 6DII. I've done this with my 77D without problems but can't seem to connect with my 6DII. I have even removed the app and re-installed.
Here is what is happening.
I open the camera settings and go to Bluetooth pairing. It then finds my phone and I select the camera for pairing. It runs for about 30 seconds and then I get "Connection target not found" on the camera. The Canon Connect states pairing failed and to delete devie and try again.
What am I doing wrong here?
Thanks,
Kevin

Did you turn on the Wi-Fi hotspot in the iPhone?

Yes - the hotspot is on.
Interestingly, I finally was able to get the WiFi to connect tonight while out imaging. Here is how I have to do it.
1. Open WiFi function in camera and select iPhone
2. Go to phone settings and open WiFi and manually select the Camera WiFi
3. Open the Canon Connect app and then it all works.
I think with my 77D when I selected the Canon Connect app it just found the camera and then connected when I selected.
Also, still not connecting to Bluetooth so maybe that will fix it all????.
