EOS 6D videos made with face tracking AF are blurry

Hey Guys. I need some assistance figuring out the focus of my Canon 6D.
(I've been using it for almost 10 years for food photography and some videos)
I am a food blogger, and I usually make videos focusing on my bowl or hands (manual single focus). Since I work alone, this is an ideal setup for me.
But now I want to make videos with myself in there. This means I am in the shot. So, today, I used the Canon Live Face focus option. (where it is supposed to follow your face)
Unfortunately, all my clips are blurry. Not my blow or my face is in focus!!
What am I doing wrong? How do I fix this for future videos? Can I make my food videos with me in there? I work alone, so I don't have extra hands to help me with the focus.
Would appreciate any suggestions or advice

Welcome to the community.

What is “Canon Live Face” option?

Do you mean "(Face Detection) Live Mode"?    This is covered on pages 193-196 of the 6D Manual. Download it and study it .   https://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/8/0300009238/06/eos6d-im7-en.pdf

You may be misunderstanding the system capabilities. I'm not sure I comprehend this function myself. Page 196 list conditions under which it may not be reliable.
