I’ve just purchased a new EOS 3000D , when I look through the lense only around a fifth of the screen is visible and there is an oblong shape in white line. This is my first decent camera so not too familiar with the settings etc , any ideas the sequence I need to take so the full screen is viewable
Kind Regards

Can you please provide us a picture of what you're describing. Are you looking around the LCD screen or the viewfinder.

To assist please add a photo of the screen as suggested by Demetrius as it’s hard to imagine what you see from your description.
Secondly for the other forum members, the EOS 3000D is the Asian market version of the EOS Rebel T1000 (US) / EOS 4000D (EUR).

"... when I look through the lense only around a fifth of the screen is visible ..."
Your query is ambiguous. Are you looking through the lens itself? Are you looking through the VF or on the LCD screen?
