EOS 200D How to fix spots metering mode on warning ⚠️ issue

The image posted is not EOS 200D / Rebel SL2 as the screen layout is different.

However the EOS 200D / Rebel SL2 has a custom function to switch off the warning for some features:-

  • monochrome picture style is set
  • White balance is corrected
  • When multi-shot noise reduction is set
  • When spot meter is set

Go to the custom function in the menu, and find C.Fn IV: Operation/Others then select C-FN-7 Warnings in viewfinder. You can turn off the warning for any or all of these four items. But I am not sure if it also removes it from the rear LCD display, but if not then nothing will.

Hi Shankar and welcome to the forum:

I am afraid your post is so lacking in detail that I doubt anyone can help you.  So, we need to know:
What Camera model:
What lens are you using (be specific):
What do you mean by 'spots metering'?
What warning do you get - what does it say?
What mode is the camera in: P, Av, Tv, M etc.?
What are you doing at the time?  e.g. what you are trying to photograph?

Preferably send us an image with the warning etc.

The image you are posting seems to be from another thread, yet this appears to be the only post you have made, which is confusing.  What is the origin of this image?

I get that you are getting some kind of warning, but I would recommend that you go to the that specific feature in the Q menu and press the INFO button to see if it explains what the issue is.

At the same time, can you please explain, as clearly as possible, what you are trying to do at the time when this comes up?  If necessary, use Google Translate to type out your explanation in your language and then have Google Translate turn that into English.

There is not enough data or context to allow us to help you.
