Is there a shutter release setting on the EOS 100D so I can use an FD lens with adapter in manual mode? I have all the parts, and when I attach the FD lens and go to aperture settings, it says "No lens."
Later cameras with EOS mounts have a setting to allow the shutter to fire without a lens, so I'm wondering if there is such a setting on the EOS 100D.
I am NOT asking you to comment on using FD lenses on EOS cameras. The question is:
"Is there a shutter release setting on the EOS 100D?"
Thank you ~

No only applies to mirrorless cameras such as the EOS R series.

There is a setting to release the shutter without a card, but not without a lens.
Have you tried just pressing the shutter button?

Try pressing the shutter with nothing on the lens mount. If it fires, your adapter/lens is preventing the shutter from firing, so you might have to put some electrical tape on the contacts.
Here is an article about it, but YMMV.
