Any way to upload pictures from a compact flash card or directly from my 5D Mark III to my iPad air. I know Apple has an SD card cable. anything for compact flash?

Tell your 5D III to save the images to the SD card slot and use the SD card reader.
You can optionally use Apple's USB adapter and then connect via the USB cable (in that case it doesn't matter which card slot you use to save images.)

There are third party CD card readers; I don't know how well they work. But, Apple does make a USB connector similar to the SD card reader that you can connect your 5D to.

Thanks. Got the camera adapter and that solved the problem. Still would be nice if they made a reliable cf reader like the sd one they have.
