The way the camera acts when it is set to record HDR movies is going to be different. Due to that the camera can still go into sleep mode while it is set to HDR movies.
In HDR mode the camera is outputting the screen that is on the back of the camera. When the camera isn't in HDR mode it can output a clean signal through HDMI, but still have the onscreen information on the camera itself. You can limit the amount of onscreen displays while it is in HDR mode by repeatedly pressing the Info button. Each time you press it the camera will cycle to the next display it can show. When you see the display that has the least onscreen information stop pressing the Info button and the camera will remember the display type you left it on.
