Charging Canon via USB? EOS R10

Hey all, new to cameras. I bought a Canon EOS R10 recently to film painting sessions up-close in studio. I therefore will need the camera to stay on for long periods and don’t want to have to switch out batteries throughout. Can I just plug the Canon into a computer via usb-c, and it’ll stay charged that way? Is it at all bad for the battery / camera to do that?

Greetings,

There are 3 ways to power the camera:

Canon USB Adapter - USB Power Adapter PD-E1

USB-C PD Battery (PD battery pack or VMount battery)

AC Adapter with dummy battery

AC Adapter AC-E6N
DC Coupler DR-E18

Products Comparison List - Magento B2B Edition (canon.com)

The best way to power your camera in a studio is with a dummy battery and AC adapter.  The R10 has a special cutout on the battery door for this purpose.
