Canon rebel t5 display is blank

Hello! I have been using my camera (Canon Rebel T5) with no problem for the last week. However, today the LCD screen is not working. I tried moving a bit the rubber eyecup as I read in one discussion that it might block the display off sensor, but it didn't work. The camera is however working (I took pictures and then check them the memory card on my computer). The LCD screen doesn't work even if I press Menu or the Display button. Any idea on what could be happening??

Try pushing the eyecup all the way down. If you can move it its not seated properly.

I just tried and the eyecup seems fixed now but the screen is still not working 😕

If you take a picture and then press the blue playback arrow nothing happens either?

No, the screen seems to have a backlight, but is not showing either the picture or any menu, it is just black

I can't think of anything else then, other than sending it for service.
