Canon T8i goes crazy when turning on and going to take a picture

Hello, as title implies, whenever we take a picture with the camera the shutter goes crazy and nothing is accomplished. It clicks very rapidly and then stops. Was wondering if anyone had any advise. I have a video of it but Idk how to post a video on here as it says "I dont have permission to upload a video."

Reset the camera to its original settings and try in "green square mode" outside on a sunny day.

Sounds like a stuck shutter or mirror.

I will give this a try! Thank you for the reply. We were hoping to make some short films with it and it just suddenly started doing that after taking a few pictures now it just does it on boot!
