Canon T5 blurry images

I uploaded some of my images to pond 5 and they were all rejected due to out of focus. When I blow up the images to 100% they do look slightly blurred. Any ideas?

I should add that video from the same lens and location were accepted.

We'd have to see them to venture a guess. But there's one overall consideration. If the whole picture is blurry, there's a good chance that the shutter speed was too low. If some of it is blurry and some isn't, it could be a focusing issue.

What lens?

Three suggestions.

1) Try shooting at a higher shuttle speed. Make it at least 150% of your lens length. So if your lens is 250, set the shutter to 400 or more. (Keep the aperture above the minimum) When you take your shots, hold your breath and tuck your elbows tight to your side as you squeeze the button.

2) Try some shots from a tripod OR use a coat on a solid surface.

3) Also make sure your lens is clean. A dirty lens can cause blur.

If after these your shots are still blurry or out of focus, try a different lens.
