I'd been waiting for this and had contacted Canon Canada about it, while originally slated for early September release, they told me it would be mid October before we saw it. They got back in touch with me today to tell me it officially launched today and is available for order on their site as of now.
I personally ordered it from a retailer and am doing the trade in bonus (goodbye SL1). I'm excited for it, I know those types of lenses have their issues but I'm a hobbyist and with that lens and a 1.4 speed lens I'm all set for the forseeable future, and am very excited.
