Good day! How much will be cost and who have experience with replacement first lense group or just front glass? I got one used from marketplace with rubbedoff coating, get new glass,but local guy says he cant fix it, need 1st group, which is pretty expensive. Maybe somebody from canon know? Located it Canada Ontario

Absolutely you need to contact Canon Canada directly but be for warned it is going to be expensive. Years ago I had to have the front element replaced on my ef 85mm f1.2L and it was $400 US dollars. I will venture that front element group for the big zoom will exceed $500 easily.
