Hey guys, need some advice here with my R7.
So I recently picked up an Orlit Rovelight RT 610 strobe, upgrading from my Meike MK600 Speedlite. I however am having difficulties getting HSS to work with the trigger for the Orlit. I use a Yongnuo YN622C-TX transmitter and receiver system with the Speedlite and the TR-611 trigger with the Orlit. When I go to the External Speedlight Control option with the Yongnuo trigger connected and select Flash Function Settings, I am able to cycle through the different modes such as ETTL, M, Multi and Gr. I am able to select First-curtain sync or HSS
However, when the Orlit is connected I am only given the TTL option that is also grayed out so I am unable to make any changes regarding that and is stuck at a max shutterspeed of 1/320.
When I power on the camera for the first time however, I am able to scroll pass the 1/320 limit but as soon as I take a picture or open the menu it goes right back to the max 1/320.
Is there something that I am doing wrong? I know the Orlit has both TTL and HSS but I am finding it difficult to do so. HSS is enabled on both Strobe and Trigger as well. Could this be specific to just certain triggers? I have no issues withing this trigger and strobe with my friend's EOS R and have used HSS with that setup in the past so I know the Strobe and Trigger works
TLDR: Unable to enable HSS with Orlit trigger but works fine with Yongnuo trigger connected

It sounds like you found an incompatibility between your flash system and your camera. You can reach out to the flash manufacturer to see if they have a firmware update.

I agree with Demetrius. You have one or more incompatibility issues between the camera and your mixture third party gear.
Contact the third party gear manufacturers. A mixture of third party gear is potential major problem because everyone may blame the other guy. This is not Canon’s problem because similar Canon gear works as advertised because it is fully compatible..
