Apologies if this sounds silly. On my original R6 I setup the video settings to what I wanted and then just rotated the dial to the video camera icon and pressed the red button anytime I wanted to record. If I hadn’t set it to manual I just left the settings on 60fps or 30fps depending on what I was needing.
Now I have the mk3, I switch the left lever to the video setting but what about the dial on the top right? I see if I choose the av or tv mode it acts like a manual video setup of aperture, shutter and iso on the display screen. If I just want the camera to record with it auto compensating for aperture and shutter etc, what should it be left on? Which makes me think there’s more steps to take than just going from the photo/video switch and pressing record.
Would changing the top dial to something more automatic now cause the fps to be out of sync of say a 30fps setting if it means it goes over 100+ shutter speed depending on the lighting?
Should I just set the shutter to twice the frame rate and leave the rest alone?
Or I’ve got this completely wrong and missed the boat entirely.
