I have a problem where my camera doesnt want to focus no matter what i do. The only time a image is ''sharp'' is when i manually addjust the zoom so it's kind of sharp. I tried connecting it(the lens) to a different body and no difference. 2000D body works fine with other lenses so i guess its a lens issue i just dont know if it's technical or mechanical. Couldn't find a solution that works for me on forums.

Maybe if you tell us the model of the lens (thats not working) we can offer possible suggestions.

This really pains me to say but you might want to clean the lens and camera contacts. Q Tip and a little alcohol. Gently swab the contacts. When that doesn't work or help try this..............
Take the lens off of your camera.
Put the lens in MF mode.
Twist the FOCUS ring (the tip of the lens) all the way to one side (extend it). You may hear a click noise or two, this is good, but don't FORCE the lens.
Twist the FOCUS ring all the way to the opposite side (retract it). Again, you may hear a couple of clicking noises. What we hope is happening is the focusing motor being put back into its proper place.
Put the lens back on the camera.
Put the lens in AF mode.
Turn the camera on.
Put the camera in AUTO or P mode.
Take a test photo.

Did all of the things above, no effects. Only 1 new thing happened, when i switched it to not visor mode (had the preview of the photo on the screen) when i tried to focus the lens made a short noise that sounded like it was trying to focus but nothing happened.

Sounds like a job for Canon service.
