Hi,
I just bought a Canon EOS T6i and the flash will not work. I have gone into settings and enabled the flash settings, watched multiple videos, and tried all suggestions I've seen. I also have cleared all settings and reset them. Thank you!

Is this the built in flash on the camera or an external flash mounted in the hot shoe if so what model flash. If its a Canon brand flash the model will be for instance Speedlite 380EX or Speedlite EL-100 for example.

“ … the flash will not work.”
What does that mean? I am going to assume that you mean the built in flash. Is it not raising up? Does it raise up and not flash?
The flash is disabled in some shooting modes. What shooting mode are you using?

It is the built in flash on the camera. It will raise but the actual flash will not go off. I have it in auto mode. I have tried all other modes too like Program AE, shutter priority AE, Aperature priority AE, and manual exposure.

Try this put the lens cap on and set the focus mode to One Shot or set the mode dial to Auto (Green Square). The built in flash should fire Intermittently to Assist the AF system.

When I try to turn the flash on in auto mode it says "this function is not seelctable in the current shooting mode"

Is the camera set to Green Square Auto or is it set to Auto Mode with an x over the lightning bolt. That mode prevents the flash from firing.

Green square auto

Did you try to put the lens cap on with the camera set to Auto. The camera will see its dark and the built in flash will pop up and fire fire intermittently. The camera won't take a picture unless its in focus. It will emit pre-flashes/ small series of flashes with the camera set to Auto Mode.
