Canon EOS T100 remote

I recently purchased a Canon EOS T100. I am finding the iPhone software (Camera Connect) will not stay connected in order for me to use the remote capability. Does anyone know if there's a remote I could purchase that would work with this camera? Thanks!

The T100 is a very basic camera that has no mechanical plugin remote terminal, and no Infrared or Bluetooth remote capability.

 
It can only operate remotely using the WiFi smartphone “Camera Connect” application. One more option is to connect it to a computer with a USB cable and using the EOS Utility program.
