Canon EOS Rebel G Question

malikben9

I'm planning on getting a camera for an analog black and white photography class next semester, and I was thinking about getting a Rebel G on Ebay. Before I buy it, I was wondering if anyone has prior experience with it and would know what kind of battery the camera uses and other general tips and recommendations for the camera. Thanks!

The  Rebel G is a all plastic 35mm SLR film camera. It will use any EF lenses, not EF-S lenses. It is a plastic camera with a plastic lens mount. Feels like a kid toy camera but it works if you get a good working unit. It is over 20 years old and I don't remember what battery one takes.

There was the EOS 2000 which was a super popular film camera and perhaps a better choice. It is still a plastic camera though.

I would be more inclined to buy a used film camera from an actual camera dealer than from someone on eBay.

[EDIT]. Give KEH a try.
