I recently acquired an EOS R6 V, the one thing I noticed is there is no center pin on the hot shoe for firing studio strobes, so, I ordered the Canon AD-E1 Multi-Function Shoe Adapter which is supposed to give me the center pin and allow me to fire studio strobes using a wireless trigger, or a cable, this also seems to not work, I have been reading a lot of different threads/posts and now I am learning that the option to fire studio strobes via the hotshoe is not active, but there is supposedly a firmware upgrade coming that will enable this, I cannot seem to get a straight answer one way or another. I realize this camera is supposed to be mainly a video camera, but it would be nice to be able to use all functions. can someone give me the scoop on whether or not this camera will function to fire strobe via the hotshoe center pin.
