Canon EOS 70D wont connect to MacBook Air (v13.5)

I've tried everything to access my photos and videos taken on my Canon EOS 70D but can't get it to connect to my computer. The farthest I've been able to get is connecting my camera through the WIFI pairing service which then opens EOS Utility 2, except my camera is not connected and most of the functions are greyed out.

If you're only looking to tranfers photos and video to your computer, the best chance at success it to use a card reader.  Some Macs have built-in SD card readers (though probabably not the Air models?).   Card readers are fairly inexpensive.
