Hello,
When I try to take pictures with my Canon EOS 70D through the viewfinder they all turn out black.
Taking pictures with live view works fine, and also taking the pictures with the M modus. But with all other settings they turn out black and I really need to fix the problem.
This problem occured after 2,5 years using the camera without any problems.
Maybe this is just a setting problem or do I have to give it to a repair shop?

Hi Jule. Stepping back, to be sure we all have the same info, is this your situation:
1. everything works fine in LiveView.
2. changing lenses doesn't affect your problem
3. when shooting throgh viewfinder you can get a proper exposure in Manual mode.
Is tha above correct?
Did you reset all camera settings and clear all custom settings using the Menu?

Hey John,
Yes these three things are correct:
1. everything works fine in LiveView.
2. changing lenses doesn't affect your problem
3. when shooting throgh viewfinder you can get a proper exposure in Manual mode
and otherwise the photos turn out black.
I already tried to reset all camera settings and custom settings, but nothing changed.
