Canon 90D Cant record sound?

Maybe it is me missing something but the sound icon says "Off" when in video mode and I cant seem to find where to change it.
It is the same with or without external mic, no sound is recorded. Tested setting sound level to both Auto and manual but no change,
Any ideas what to check for me?

That icon you highlighted is the WiFi connectivity icon, nothing to do with sound - though usually recommended to switch wifi off to avoid potential interference with audio recording.

With the camera in video mode - as it is in the screenshot - go to the red menu section and locate Sound recording this is where you can set the sound on/off. If an external mic is connected then it switches off the internal mics. This switching is done by physical connections in the 3.5mm socket. It is possible that these connectors get broken over time and the internal mic stays disconnected and there's no connect to an external mic.

Well one way to show confusion from my side. No need to say that the camera is rather new to me.
I guess the sound rec level was far to low, it is working now, both internal and external mic.
